Michael, this is the framework of what I am trying to put together in my job search. I have the companies and I have some of the second-hand contacts. I am now reaching out to the contacts I have researched. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like you are on the right path.

The second-degree contact piece is where most searches either accelerate or stall. The candidates who move fastest are not the ones with the biggest networks. They are the ones who map what they already have before reaching out to anyone new. You are doing that, which puts you ahead of most.

One thing worth adding to your process if you have not already: when you activate a second-degree contact, make it easy for them to vouch for you. A short, specific note on what you are targeting and why, something they can forward or reference directly, removes the friction of them having to translate your story on your behalf.

Job search at this level is a full-time operation. The prep you are putting in now is what makes the conversations feel inevitable rather than lucky when they happen.

Michael, this framework is spot on. The approach is like a highly targeted B2B marketing campaign. It would be interesting to see if one could vibe code a job search CRM in Claude that executes on your guidelines - I’m sure it’s possible. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! No doubt, proper strategic job searching is a lot of work. I'm not into vibe coding but would love to see someone take a shot this. 🎯
